Born Kellie Dawn Pickler on the 28th of June, 1986. Pickler experienced a turbulent childhood. At the age of two, her mother ran away to protect her from an abusive family. In 1995, she was returned to Pickler's world and gained custody. However, it wasn't as planned. After Pickler was 12, the court returned her to her maternal grandparents which raised her to adulthood. With the loss of the parents of her, Pickler became too busy as a mother to her kids. She admitted that she didn't have time to go to classes and started to become a housewife in the early years. Pickler was an athlete in middle and high school. In 2004, she graduated in 2004 from North Stanly High School. Pickler tried out her luck in the world of beauty contests. The title she was given is Miss Stanly.
